Company: Bord Gais Energy
Activities planned for Workplace Wellbeing Day
This year, more than ever, Bord Gais Energy is aware of the importance of the physical and mental health of its employees. As our employess are based at home and adhering to the 2km restriction that is in place we have rolled out a two week step challenge with a twist. Our #KeepBGEMoving initiative will run for two weeks - from 20 April to 01 May (Workplace Wellbeing Day). Usually we would be encouraging teams to go out walking and running. This time running and walking can be included only within the safe distance of your home and while social distancing from others. This time we're asking teams to track their everyday activities around the home with the goal of increasing your movements and hopefully having more fun along the way. The steps tracked should include everyday movement; cleaning, taking on an obstacle course in the garden with the kids, gardening, doing a home HIIT workout or simply walking the stairs a few more times than you would usually. We have step conversion chart to support this. Over the two week period we will have prizes for the best team name, most inventive way of moving, whackiest outfit, best workout buddy, most steps in smallest space and the most improved stepper.
