Activities planned for Workplace Wellbeing Day

Fexco is running a photo competition - Nature in the 2km zone of their home or buildings of interest depending on what is around them. Photos of some flowers, wildflowers, plants, buds, trees, sunrise or sunsets are all suggestions and prizes are going for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Advice on PlantSnap app and www.treesforcommunities.ie is provided to help people to get to know the names of plants and trees around them. 

Step Challenge is being encouraged amongst employees.

Run 5 Donate 5, Nominate 5 - Employees are also encouraged to walk or run to promote physical activity and support the battle with Covid-19. Employees are invited to share selfies after completion on our social channel on Be@fexco.

On Zoom we have a Barbecue cooking demonstration for Fexco employees in conjunction with Mark Doe from Just Cooking from 12:00 - 12:45. It will be recorded and available on Be@fexco along with recipes & tips on planning your Barbecue, the do's and dont's and cooking methods on charcoal and gas. Cooking some juicey burgers and marinated chicken escalopes with baby potatoe salad.

In conjunction with SeeChange every May we support the Green Ribbon campaign which is postponed this year. As National Workplace Wellbeing Day is 1st May we are promoting their guide to understanding mental health stigma on Be@fexco 

On Be@fexco we are promoting webinars on mental and physical health and mindfulness from various sources including our EAP providers.

The Body Coach offers live workouts everyday through his You Tube channel. He also runs a daily "PE with Joe" 30 minute workout aimed at kids.

Nike Training coach is an app that can be down loaded which provides you with a range of circuits, guided workouts and 4-6 week workout plan for all fitness levels.

MyfitnessPal is an app that can be used to record calories, plan your meals and log exercise. 

Smiling Mind is an app useful for mindfulness and meditation.

In This Together - Visit gov.ie/together  provides advice and tips on how to look after your mental wellbeing, stay active and stay connected.

SKDP - South Kerry Development Partnership is providing an online Wellnesss Awarenss Training designed to give participants a proper understanding of wellbeing in the workplace for themselves, colleagues and the overall organisation. Programme includes:

Employee, Health in Ireland, Positive Health, Promoting Health and Wellbeing in the workplace, Responsibilities as a colleague and learning outcomes are to create and support a positive culture and promote wellbeing in the workplace.
