Activities planned for Workplace Wellbeing Day

For National Workplace Wellbeing Day Walkers is encouraging our employees to go out and get some fresh air by taking part in the Lunchtime Mile! We are asking employees to go out for a walk in their local area, being mindful of social distancing and staying within the 2km limit.

We have asked that each person take a photograph on their walk which we will then use to compile a collage of photos allowing us to see everyone in their local neighbourhood. A winning photograph will be selected and a donation will be made to a charity of the winner's choice.

Walkers also runs a year round wellness programme involving regular initiatives such as:

  • Onsite lunchtime fitness classes – Yoga, Pilates and Circuits/HIIT

  • Employee Assistance Programme

  • Onsite Wellness Room

  • Mindfulness Classes

  • Annual Wellness Week – involving healthy breakfast, guest speakers, flu vaccines, etc.

  • Health Screening

  • 'Fast Walkers' lunchtime running group

  • Monthly massage and reflexology

  • Ergonomic assessments

In the past few weeks we have adapted our programme and launched a 'Walkers Wellness at Home' initiative with a focus on mindfulness, guidance for working remotely and virtual lunchtime fitness classes.
